WHO WE ARE:
Kenya School of Counselling & Behavioural Sciences is counseling and training Centre for personal and professional development staffed by professional counselors, trainers and supervisors.
The KSCBS offers counseling, training and consultancy services in conjunction with the Calamus college, UK. In both counseling and training great care is taken to respect and enhance the autonomy of clients, trainees and supervisors. We promote an eclectic/integration approach to counseling based on a humanistic model of counseling and training.
STAFF
KSCBS was founded by professional educators and counselors who are highly trained and experienced in the fields of counseling Psychology and education.
VISION OF KSCBS
We aspire to be the premier counseling training institution in Africa. We will seek to provide leadership in the provision of counselor training and services.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of KSCBS is to prepare skilled and knowledgeable professional counselors for work in a variety of organizations including schools. Our graduates will be ethical, reflective practitioners competent in serving a diverse population. We are committed to the delivery of excellent client services, to understanding and respecting human diversity, to ethical and social responsibility, and to leadership in the counseling profession. Students will:
- demonstrate ability to facilitate client growth, development, and coping within individual and/or group settings
- demonstrate understanding and upholding of ethics and standards of practice endorsed by the counseling profession
- demonstrate understanding of and respect for human diversity
- demonstrate ability to use a variety of theories, therapeutic interventions, assessment tools, and communication skills to assist clients.

The activities are divided into FOUR main areas: Counseling, Training, Supervision and Consultancy
WHAT ISSUES CAN KSCBS HELP WITH?
We counsel individuals, couples and families with a range of social, emotional and behavioral problems. Examples include: bereavement, alcohol and substance abuse, child sexual abuse, criminal offenders, depression, marital problems, infertility, HIV&AIDS, psychological problems as well as Christian counseling.
